The Position: Mold Maker 1

Shift 1: 6am – 230pm M-F

Our Manhattan, Montana facility is seeking a Mold Maker 1 to add to our team. The Mold Maker 1 is responsible for but not limited to: Under supervision, Mold Maker assumes responsibility for the operation of a variety of machine tools to cut or grind material into parts or products with precise dimensions, strength, and hardness; Inspect and test completed parts to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met. The inherent nature of Tool and Mold making work is such that the job content requirements of expected tasks may vary from day to day within any given area. Must be willing to expand their work knowledge; Must provide their own tools to completely and safely perform all aspects of the position. This position is a direct supporter/contributor to the success of the Operations Manager and any/all delegated work is expected to positively promote the Blackhawk brand.

• Position will entail production of a variety of machined parts, fixtures, prototypes and assemblies.

• Evaluate and solve production problems and contribute to improvement of the processes.

• Requires competency on CNC milling, and turning machines.

• Must operate manual equipment such as grinders, lathes, mills, and hand tools.

• Must be able to program CNC machines by usage of machining packages (equivalent to Gibbs, Cam, Solidworks).

• Responsible for on-line quality control

• Maintain a clean work area

• Must allow time studies and mold maker processes videotaping.

• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of verifiable 4 years of experience and education in tool trades combined.

  • Diploma and/or industry recognized Certification

  • Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills both intra and interdepartmentally

  • Ability to read, interpret, and make parts to blueprint specifications

  • Ability to perform basic welding

  • Has a positive attitude and works well with others

  • Demonstrates required competencies per job description
