The Position: Production Lead 1

Molding Shift B Sunday - Tuesday and Every Other Wednesday from 6pm - 630am. Alternate between 3 and 4 day workweek every other week. .

Our Manhattan, Montana facility is seeking a Production Lead 1 to add to our team. The Production Lead 1 is responsible for but not limited to coordinating daily workload requirements with the Supervisor and maintaining accurate material count and product flow. Promote the proper use of personal protective equipment and coordinate with Supervisors to ensure safety policies are enforced. Able to multitask in a coordinated thought out manner. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. This includes operating plastic injection molding machines, light machinery, assembly equipment and product assembly. 50% of work will be direct labor tasks.

This position is a direct supporter/contributor to the success of the Operations Manager and any/all delegated work is expected to positively promote the Blackhawk brand.

Responsibilities: Including but not limited to

  • Awareness of safety for self and others (i.e. reporting accidents, safety lifting techniques).

  • Coordinate all set ups of the production area with Supervisor based upon customer and shipping requirements

  • Coordinate with Supervisor all quality control guidelines to promote ISO compliance.

  • Coordinate the training of all employees to include the certification and documentation of such.

  • Provide positive reinforcement to personnel and promote employee engagement

  • Communicate effectively and efficiently to Supervisor on day to day situations

  • Proactively address employee related situations and escalate to management as necessary

  • Give feedback to Supervisor regarding employee performance reviews

  • Cooperate as a team member but able to work independently.

  • Maintain a clean and organized production area.

  • Ensure employee adherence to all company policies, procedures, Work Instruction and JIB’s

  • Additional duties assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a formal leadership role

  • Ability to perform at above average productivity level while maintaining quality & safety standards established for the operation

  • Demonstrated above average self motivational drive

  • Experience working with or around mechanized machines

  • Demonstrated effective written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Demonstrated organizational skills

  • Ability to work cooperatively and positively with others

  • Ability to work under minimum supervision

  • Ability to multi-task
